K. Chew was born and raised in Southern California and currently resides in Fort Collins, Colorado. She is the author of the picture book, The Thing King and has worked as a press correspondent and newspaper editor.

In 2012 she had the opportunity to work with NBCUniversal for the London Olympics. Then in 2014 she was awarded the Best Environmental Reporting Piece of the Year from the Wisconsin Newspaper Association.

In her own words, “I love tea, travel, and sunshine. When I’m not stumbling upon some new (and probably awkward) situation, I’m likely writing about an old one. While I do love this life, if given the chance, I’d happily jump into an 80’s movie or 90’s sitcom. If you can’t find me, try looking in the mountains.”
